temple of switches IV (February 2022)

New Release

This 2022 release continues our alchemy of rock, jazz and classical influence with blistering organ and guitar, odd harmonics and heavy drumming.
Riding on an avalanche of musical ideas these songs came together rather quickly. The music is played with sarcasm and intensity, then passing through dark and melancholy, into the ethereal and back into the light. A musical journey of sorts. Features the beautiful and talented Amanda Lehmann (Innocence and Illusion, and Steve Hackett's band) singing "The Wind". And Akuda singing "Human Zoo". IV won us "featured album of the month" for March 2022 on progrock.com.

The wings of mind (november 2020)

album Information

This 2020 release entitled “The Wings of Mind” is a kaleidoscope of collaborations and recordings past and present.

The album has a dark edge to it, and combines hard rock with jazz and post-bop and small splashes of Randy Rhodes style metal. This is the third studio album released by Temple of Switches. This release won us "Featured artist of the month" for December 2020 on Progrock.com!

Helium parade (july 2017)

album Information

In the absence of a working band after September 2014, Tenk Van Dool returned to the studio to record some new ideas, with the purpose of veering in a more dark and melancholy direction. Enlisting musicians Craig Camp(drums) and Clara Hembree(vocals) from the band "Maheekats", and Gaetano Nicolosi(drums) from Ron Keel's band "Iron Horse" this release veers into more obscure territory, a little heavier than the first release and with more experimental compositions.

temple of switches(self-titled) (november, 2015)

album Information

This, our first album was released after a twenty year hiatus from playing music. Through the use of pipe organs, classic Rickenbacker bass sound, vintage analog synthesizers, Guitar Synthesizers, experimental recording techniques, an old gritty Leslie, and bowed guitars we managed to make a prog album that is commercially viable. This first release is more vocal dominated than our other releases, and has more mass appeal.
